L-4 Grasshopper

L4 Grasshopper, became one of the most feared aircraft on WW II battlefields.  L4 was used as an artillery spotter by US Army. It is said the unarmed Grasshopper commanded more firepower than larger and heavily armed B-17 Flying Fortress.  When the German soldiers saw a L-4 approaching their position, they knew it was time to move because very soon they would be under fire from allied artillery

With a flat bottom wing, mild dihedral and light wing loading the VMAR ARTF L4 Grasshopper is quick to assemble and easy to fly.
The VMAR L4 Grasshopper is built using select light weight balsa, light ply and other structural woods... no foam. Simple to transport and perfect for small fields. When equipped with a 1800 mAh 3cell LiPo battery and a brushless motor the VMAR L4 can fly for 10 minutes and much longer when throttled back.
